WTRIYL: Six of Crows

I am back with a post that does not involve any sort of book review, TBR, or monthly round-up! (Yeah, I’m surprised too.) Today I’m reccing books that you should read if you liked Six of Crows.

First though, you might spot a really obvious miss on this post (The Gilded Wolves). That’s because my first instinct is always to rec that book for this, so I tried not to to mix things up a little.

Of course, you should read it anyway whatever, but. Yeah.

Found Family

I mean, I’ve probably already recommended both of these for this trope before, but no harm in doing it again, right? Because they’re excellent books for an excellent trope. So if you want a found family, read The Girl at Midnight and Steel Crow Saga.

A Heist

I’m cheating a little here with one of these recs because it isn’t yet out, but trust me when I say you want to read it. So. Here we go. For a heist story, read Dangerous Remedy and Beneath the Citadel. They’re not so much heists heists in the way Six of Crows is but, they have that whole ragtag gang of misfits working together vibe.

Sort of shot myself in the foot here, because I was like, I’ll rec books based on their relationship and then couldn’t for the life of me work out how to characterise their relationship. But anyway. Shri said rec Empire of Sand and Anna said rec Midnighter and Apollo so that’s what you’re getting.

Sunny MC and Grumpy LI

I had this trope all up and ready, and promptly blanked on any possible recs. So these two aren’t quite the whole “sunny mc and grumpy li” that Nina and Matthias are, but they’re close enough. Don’t Date Rosa Santos is, though Alex becomes less grumpy fairly quick, and Silver in the Wood is basically the reverse trope.

Have you read any of these books? Are there any others you would rec?
